RALEIGH, N.C. - The North Carolina Court of Appeals has affirmed findings by that state's industrial commission awarding benefits to a former auto salesman for illnesses blamed on workplace mold exposure. Jones v. Steve Jones Auto Group, No. COA08-1593 (N.C. Ct. App.).
The court issued a 26-page opinion on Nov. 3 affirming disability benefits for Steve R. Jones, but remanded to the North Carolina Industrial Commission for a hearing on the disability insurer's right to a lien on a $1 million third-party settlement.
