OAKLAND, Calif. - Attorneys for both sides in a class action against Pulte Home Corp. have stipulated to the appointment of a special master to facilitate discovery and other pre-trial matters. Cook, et al. v. Pulte Home Corp., No. VG08379255 (Calif. Super. Ct.).
Attorneys for Pulte and for Craig Cook and other plaintiffs filed the stipulation and proposed order in Alameda County Superior Court on Oct. 13.
Cook and other residents of "The Oaks" development in Livermore, Calif., allege that their homes have exhibited numerous defects since construction, including problems with windows, siding, roofs and showers.
