MINEOLA, N.Y. - An insurer that added mold coverage to a homeowners policy failed to persuade a New York trial judge that it was entitled to summary judgment on its insureds' claim for hidden mold damage that may have pre-dated the mold rider. McGowan, et ux. v. Great Northern Insurance Co., et al., No. 1852/2008 (N.Y. Sup. Ct., Nassau Cty.).

Justice Angela G. Iannacci, termed Great Northern Insurance Co.'s arguments "meritless" and granted the homeowners' cross-motion to allow them to file an amended complaint.
