RIVERHEAD, N.Y. - A New York trial court has ordered a forensic examination of condominium managers' computer systems after unit owners complained that the managers have ignored requests for electronic discovery in their suit over mold repairs. Hines v. Charles H. Greenthal Management Corp., et al., No. 10021/2006 (N.Y. Sup. Ct., Nassau Cty.).
The Nassau County Supreme Court said July 13 that the remedy sought by George and Helen Hines - striking defendants' answer - was not warranted, but the court said the Hineses are entitled to the information they seek.
