CLEVELAND - The judge presiding over the federal Whirlpool cases has issued a revised case management schedule, calling for discovery to be essentially completed by late fall in time for class certification motions. In re: Whirlpool Corp. Front-Loading Washer Products Liability Litigation, No. 1:08-wp-65000 [MDL No. 2001] (N.D. Ohio).
Judge James S. Gwin of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio issued the new deadlines in a two-page order on June 29.
