Court Declines Jurisdiction After Deeming Remediation Estimate Excessive

TROY, Mich. - The Michigan Court of Appeals has affirmed a Circuit Court order rejecting an expert's building repair and mold remediation estimate and declining jurisdiction in a mold property damage case for failure to meet the court's $25,000 threshold. <i.Raab v. River Ridge-Saline LLC, No. 280335 (Mich. Ct. App.).
The Court of Appeals also ruled in its May 12 per curiam opinion that the Washtenaw Circuit Court did not err in denying summary judgment to defendant River-Ridge-Saline LLC because the plaintiff homeowners have alleged sufficient facts to avoid summary disposition.
