HONOLULU - Jurors in Hawaii state court recently found for a building contractor blamed for an employee's faulty roof repairs to a luxury home that led to water and mold damage. Aki, et al. v. Lanikai Heavy Industries Inc., et al., No. 06-1-1179-07 (VSM) (Hawaii 1st Cir. Ct.).
The 12 jurors voted 10-2 in favor of Lankai Heavy Industries (d/b/a Steel Truss Systems of Hawaii) for problems arising from a "side" job performed by its building superintendent.
