Homeowners Get $30,001 for Damage From Leaky Roof Tarp

RIVERHEAD, N.Y. - A trial court has awarded homeowners $30,001 after an uncontested hearing on damages for water and mold damage blamed on a leaky roof tarp. D'Andrea, et ux. v. The Dormer Giants Corp., et al., No. 618/2005 (N.Y. Sup. Ct., Nassau Cty.).

Justice Roy S. Mahon of the Nassau County (N.Y.) Supreme Court made the award to Frank and Danielle D'Andrea on Feb. 4 after a hearing at which the only remaining defendant, The Dormer Giants Corp., did not appear.
