Lawsuit on behalf of Public Housing Child Ends in $6,500 Settlement

NEW YORK - A New York judge has approved a $6,500 settlement for a child said to have been injured by exposure to mold in public housing in New York City. Crooke v. New York City Housing Authority, No. 101070/2009 (N.Y. Sup. Ct., N.Y. Cty.).

New York County Supreme Court Justice Milton A. Tingling filed the order approving the settlement on Feb. 24.

The lawsuit was brought by Dale Crooke on behalf of her son, Raymond Robinson, against the New York City Housing Authority. Cooke's claims relied on unspecified medical reports by Dr. Alla Zilberman, M.D., according to the order.
