Court Orders Tenant to Comply with Discovery Requests

RIVERHEAD, N.Y. - A New York judge has ordered the plaintiff tenant of a cooperative apartment building to respond to discovery requests made by the cooperative's management board, but rejected a defense motion to order the plaintiff to resume paying rent or assessments. Greenwood v. Sea Breeze Tower 250 Owners Corp., No. 005513/08 (N.Y. Sup., Nassau Cty.).
Nassau County Supreme Court Justice Daniel Martin also ruled in his Dec. 18 order that plaintiff Mary Ellen Greenwood cannot pursue claims against the building manager Island Development Asset Management Corp.
