Jury Finds Agent, Broker, Sellers Liable for Non-Disclosure

CHARLESTON, S.C. - A jury in Charleston, S.C., has awarded $125,000 to a couple who complained that sellers of a combined commercial-residential property were negligent in failing to disclose the presence of mold. Winters v. Daniels, et al., No. 07-CP-08-973 (S.C. Cir. Ct., Berkeley Cty.).
The verdict was issued on Aug. 13 after a two-day trial, but the parties are still awaiting a ruling by the Berkeley county (S.C.) Circuit Court on defendants' motion to set aside the verdict.
