CHARLESTON, S.C. –– 3M Co. has filed a motion opposing efforts to remand a water contamination case pending in the Aqueous Film-Forming Foams Products Liability Litigation MDL docket, arguing that the court has federal officer jurisdiction.

In a Aug. 23 brief filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina, defendant 3M Co. maintained that, at a minimum, the court should defer ruling on the motion until the 4th Circuit has weighed in on similar jurisdictional disputes.
