11th Circuit Gives Plaintiffs Extension on Filing Brief in Appeal of Camp Lejeune Dismissal




ATLANTA -- The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit has allowed plaintiffs appealing the dismissal of their Camp Lejeune benzene exposure action until late September to file their brief. Jones v. United States of America, No. 11-13158 (11th Cir.).

In an ordered entered Aug. 26, the 11th Circuit granted a plaintiff motion for extension of time to file the brief. An earlier order issued by the appellate court indicated that the appellant's brief was due Sept. 7. However, on Aug. 24, the plaintiffs filed a motion to extend that date to Sept. 27.
