Camp Lejeune MDL Judge Dismisses Lawsuit on Judicial Estoppel Grounds; Plaintiff Appeals




ATLANTA -- A plaintiff in a Camp Lejeune water contamination lawsuit has appealed a federal court decision to dismiss her claims on grounds that she failed to disclose a pending bankruptcy proceeding. Jones, et al. v. United States of America, No. 11-00771 (N.D. Ga.).

On July 8, plaintiff Laura J. Jones filed a notice of appeal with the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, indicating her intent to ask the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit to review the dismissal.
