JPML to Hear Camp Lejeune Motion, Opposition in January

WILMINGTON, N.C. -- The U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation has issued a notice of hearing in which it says it will consider a plaintiff motion to consolidate all actions relating to alleged water contamination at Camp Lejeune on January 27 in New Orleans. In re: Camp Lejeune Water Contamination, MDL No. 2218 (JPML); Jones, et al. v. United States, No. 09-106 (E.D. N.C.).
The Dec. 16 notice addresses the motion to coordinate pretrial proceedings for cases similar to that of a plaintiff who says she developed non-Hodgkin's lymphoma after being exposed to benzene in water at her husband's military …
