NORRISTOWN, Pa. — A Pennsylvania county has sued JUUL Labs Inc., accusing it of aggressively marketing its e-cigarette products to teenagers, causing them to become severely addicted to nicotine and exposing them to numerous health risks.
In a Nov. 4 complaint filed in the Montgomery County (Pa.) Court of Common Pleas, District Attorney Kevin Steele says JUUL targeted youths via a massive online and social media campaign which included paying social media “influencers” to promote their product and sponsoring launch parties and events.
