WASHINGTON, D.C. — Designer Brands Inc. and DSW Shoe Warehouse Inc. have asked the U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation to create an MDL docket for actions accusing them of violating the Telephone Consumer Protection Act by sending unauthorized promotional text messages.
According to the Oct. 10 brief filed with the JPML, there are four overlapping putative nationwide class actions filed in four different district courts by four different sets of plaintiffs’ counsel in the last several weeks.
