WASHINGTON, D.C. — A federal panel has created a multidistrict litigation docket for actions accusing certain manufacturers of conspiring to fix, raise, maintain, or stabilize the price of hard disk drive suspension assemblies sold in the United States and abroad.
In an Oct. 8 order, the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation centralized the litigation for pretrial proceedings in the Northern District of California, where defendant Headway Technologies Inc. is headquartered. Third-party discovery is expected to take place from two hard disk drive manufacturers headquartered there, the panel added.
