Plaintiffs Ask JPML to Create MDL Docket for Capital One Data Breach Claims

WASHINGTON, D.C. –– Plaintiffs with claims pending against Capital One for its recently announced data breach that affected more than 100 million people have asked the U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation to create a national coordinated multidistrict litigation docket for the claims.

The petition was filed July 31 with the JPML, contending that, since Capital One announced the data breach two days prior, five complaints have been filed in federal court.
