Defendants in 3M Combat Arms Earplug MDL Oppose Efforts to Create Separate Class Action Track

PENSACOLA, Fla. –– Defendants in the 3M Combat Arms Earplug MDL docket have opposed efforts to establish a separate track for class action cases, contending that doing so would complicate matters and “result in duplicative and overlapping efforts.”
In a July 1 opposition brief filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida, defendants 3M Co. and the Aearo defendants said that discovery and other pretrial proceedings will equally benefit both individual actions and putative class cases.
