SAN FRANCISCO — The leadership structure jointly proposed by plaintiff and defense counsel in dozens of lawsuits filed against California utility PG&E for damage caused by the North Bay wildfires has been adopted by the judge overseeing the litigation.

In a Case Management filed March 6 in San Francisco County Superior Court, Judge E.A. Karnow set deadlines and procedural guidelines for moving the cases forward, in addition to appointing lead counsel for defendants and several subsets of plaintiffs. The order mirrors a Joint Statement of the Case filed by the parties on Feb. 22.
