MIAMI — An oral surgeon has filed a class action lawsuit in Florida, alleging that a bone drill used by dental professionals nationwide can cause permanent hearing loss.
In a complaint filed Aug. 28 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Dr. Anthony G. Sclar contends that the OsteoPower System drill emits dangerous noise levels that reach decibel levels similar to an MP3 player at maximum volume.
