ST. LOUIS — A Missouri woman has sued Allergan and Nusil Technology, claiming that they are to blame for her ruptured breast implants that leaked silicone into surrounding tissue, causing her to experience multiple sclerosis-type symptoms and other complications.
In a lawsuit filed in St. Louis County Circuit Court, Robin M. Sumpter accuses the defendants of failing to warn that the allegedly defective implants could degrade over time and cause the immune-related injuries that Sumpter says she began experiencing just two years after implantation.
Sumpter underwent breast augmentation in 2007 and had implants inserted that were manufactured two years earlier …
