U.S. Trustee Objects to Red River’s Efforts to Commence and Fund Certain Limited Claims Processing Services

HOUSTON –– The U.S. Trustee involved in the Red River Talc bankruptcy proceedings has objected to the Debtor’s efforts to start and fund certain limited claims processing services and commence lien resolution processes, arguing that Red River is seeking to “short circuit the plan confirmation process.”

In the Jan. 16 objection filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas, the U.S. Trustee further said that the Debtor is trying to “prematurely establish certain terms through sub rosa plan provisions that are embedded in the claims processing services described in the Motion.”
