Canadian Government Releases Report Finding Talc May be Harmful to Human Health

OTTAWA, Canada –– The Canadian Government has released a report under the Chemicals Management Plan, concluding that while most uses of talc are not a concern to human health, the inhalation of certain loose talc powder products and use in the female genital area can cause injury to humans.

In an April 22 press release, the Canadian Government completed a final screening assessment of talc under the Chemicals Management Plan, Health Canada and Environment and Climate Change Canada.
