Talcum Powder MDL PSC Points Out ‘Inaccurate Statements’ Made by J&J With Regard to Recall

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. –– The national talcum powder multidistrict litigation Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee has written another letter to the MDL Judge in regard to the recent recall of a single lot of Baby Powder, saying that Johnson & Johnson made “several inaccurate statements” in its letter to the court.

In the Oct. 23 letter sent to Hon. Freda J. Wolfson of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, the PSC says that one of the lots tested by the FDA tested negative for asbestos, thereby “undercut[ting] J&J’s baseless assertion of cross-contamination.”
