Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc. Recalls Single Lot of Baby Powder After Tests Reveal Presence of Asbestos

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. –– Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc. announced in a press release that it has voluntarily recalled a single lot of Baby Powder after tests indicated the presence of “sub-trace” levels of chrysotile asbestos.

In the Oct. 18 press release, the talcum powder manufacturer stated that it was initiating the voluntary recall out of an “abundance of caution,” and maintained that its product was safe.
