PITTSBURGH –– A Pennsylvania court will recommence overseeing an talcum powder ovarian cancer suit after it was remanded by a federal court, which noted that that the defendants had withdrawn their opposition of the motion to remand.

In an Aug. 19 docket entry, the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas for Allegheny County took note of the Western District of Pennsylvania’s July 24 order remanding the claims.

In her complaint, plaintiff Lori Mendicino said that she used the defendants’ talcum powder products to dust her perineum for feminine hygiene purposes for approximately 40 years. This use was “intended and foreseeable” by …
