Mo. Federal Court Stays Talcum Powder Action, Says Plaintiffs Can Present Remand Argument to MDL Court

ST. LOUIS –– A Missouri federal court has stayed a multi-plaintiff talcum powder case pending transfer to the national multidistrict litigation docket, noting that the plaintiffs will have a “full and fair opportunity to present their argument for remand to the MDL Court.”

In a Feb. 27 order, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri explained that courts overseeing similar cases with the same jurisdictional questions have opted to stay the claims and that it saw “no reason to depart from these cases.”
