Pa. State Court Stays Talc Action in Light of Pending Jurisdiction Appeal

PITTSBURGH –– A Pennsylvania state court has stayed a talcum powder action pending the resolution of Imerys Talc America Inc’s interlocutory appeal of an order in which the court agreed to reconsider its earlier determination that it could not exercise jurisdiction over the company.

In a Jan. 4 order, the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas for Allegheny County granted Imerys Talc America’s unopposed motion to stay the proceedings.
