Imerys Talc America Notifies MDL Court of Potential Conflict with Calif. Proceeding

NEWARK, N.J. –– Imerys Talc America has filed a letter with the court overseeing the national multidistrict litigation docket for talcum powder personal injury claims, notifying the court of a potential conflict between it and a California court, in which the defendant has been asked to produce TEM grids, the production of which would directly conflict with an MDL Court order.

In the Nov. 13 order, the defendant told the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey it was trying to “determine if there is an actual issue in controversy.”
