Pa. Court Amends Order, Opens Door for Imerys Talc America to Seek Appeal of Talcum Powder Jurisdiction Dispute

PITTSBURGH, Pa. –– A Pennsylvania state court has amended an earlier order granting a plaintiff motion to reconsider an order dismissing claims against Imerys Talc America, opening the door for Imerys Talc America to seek interlocutory appeal of the decision.

In a one-page order issued Oct. 15, the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas for Allegheny County amended its earlier order, certifying “that the matter raised in the September 4, 2018 Order involves a substantial issue of jurisdiction pursuant to Pa.R.App.P. 311(b)(2).”
