Mo. Court Grants Motion to Stay in Talcum Powder Ovarian Cancer Case

ST. LOUIS –– A Missouri federal court has granted a defense motion to stay proceedings in a talcum powder ovarian cancer case, finding that the relevant factors “weighed heavily” in favor of granting the stay.

In the Sept. 11 order, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri found no reason to depart from similar rulings issued by other judges in the same district.

Johnson & Johnson Inc. and Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc. moved to stay all proceedings; the other defendants named in the case joined in the motion.

The underlying case was filed by 64 plaintiffs …
