Calif. Plaintiffs Ask Court to Reinstate Their Talcum Powder Claims; Say Cases Were Mistakenly Dismissed

LOS ANGELES –– Plaintiffs whose talcum powder claims were recently dismissed from California’s coordinated docket have asked the court to set aside the dismissals, saying that the cases “were in a group … that were dismissed mistakenly and in error without communication with or the consent of the clients or their originating out-of-state counsel.”

In the June 4 motion filed in the California Superior Court for Los Angeles County, plaintiffs Nina Boliek, Mary Ruffin, and Victoria Neilson, along with her spouse Derrill Neilson, said that the defendants “have graciously agreed to stipulate to withdraw the dismissals.”
