Johnson & Johnson Attacks Fraud, Misrepresentation, Conspiracy Claims in 3 Florida Talcum Powder Actions

TAMPA, Fla. –– Johnson & Johnson has filed motions to dismiss in three recently filed talcum powder lawsuits pending across Florida state courts, contending that plaintiffs in the suits have failed to plead facts with the requisite specificity to support their claims.

In a Feb. 1 motion filed in the Florida 15th Judicial Circuit Court for Palm Beach County, the defendant attacked negligent misrepresentation, fraud, fraudulent concealment and civil conspiracy.

A similar motion was filed earlier in January in a Hillsborough County Court talcum powder lawsuit. The defendant also lodged a motion on Feb. 5 in a Volusia County, …
