FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. –– A Florida resident has filed an amended complaint against Johnson & Johnson defendants and Imerys Talc America in state court, maintaining that the defendants’ position that their talcum products were safe led his wife to develop ovarian cancer.

Plaintiff Massimo Mancuso filed the amended complaint on Oct. 6 in the Florida’s 17th Judicial Circuit Court for Broward County, contending that his deceased wife, Sonia Ortiz, developed ovarian cancer as a result of using talcum powder products in her perineal area.
