J&J Defendants Filed Application for Injunctive Relief, Ask MDL Court to Take Possession of Evidence

TRENTON, N.J. –– Johnson & Johnson defendants have asked the federal court overseeing the multidistrict litigation docket for talcum powder claims to take possession of evidence, saying that until a protocol for destructive testing is established the move is necessary to avoid the potential exhaustion of materials.

In the Aug. 16 application for injunctive relief filed with the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, the defendants asked the court to take possession of “certain historical artifacts, saying such a move is necessary until a procedure regarding the destructive testing of materials can be established.
