8th Circuit Denies Renewed Emergency Motion to Enjoin, Petition for Rehearing in Talc-Related Dispute

ST. LOUIS –– The 8th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals has denied a renewed emergency motions to enjoin and a petition for rehearing in a talcum powder-related dispute.

In a one-page order issued June 28, the 8th Circuit noted that Judges Benton and Kelly did not participate in the consideration or decision of the matter.

The underlying dispute involved the claims of Michael Blaes, who contended that his wife’s ovarian cancer was caused by her use of Johnson & Johnson’s Baby Powder and Shower-to-Shower talc-containing products.
