HarrisMartin: Court Grants J&J’s Motion for Mistrial in Multi-Plaintiff Talcum Powder Trial, Cites Supreme Court Jurisdiction Ruling




ST. LOUIS –– A Missouri court set to oversee the seventh day of a multi-plaintiff talcum powder trial has granted Johnson & Johnson’s motion for a mistrial, which was brought in light of a U.S. Supreme Court decision on jurisdiction, HarrisMartin is reporting.

Sources told HarrisMartin that Judge Rex M. Burlison of the Missouri 22nd Circuit Court for the City of St. Louis granted the defense motion on June 19 after hearing arguments from the plaintiffs on the defendants' Missouri-specific ties.
