Missouri Appellate Court Hears Arguments Relating to Appeal of $72 Million Talc Verdict; Won’t Weigh in Until U.S. Supreme Court Issues Jurisdiction Ruling




ST. LOUIS –– A Missouri appellate court indicated to the parties involved in the appeal of a $72 million talcum powder verdict that it will not weigh in on the dispute until the U.S. Supreme Court issues a decision in a case involving questions of jurisdiction and the ability of out-of-state plaintiffs to bring claims.

The Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District, heard oral arguments relating to the talcum powder matter on May 10. Judges Angela T. Quigless, Robert G. Dowd, and Lisa Van Amburg presided over oral arguments.
