Mo. Federal Court Stays Talcum Powder Cases, Says Plaintiffs Can Present Remand Arguments to MDL Court

ST. LOUIS –– A Missouri federal court has refused to address subject matter jurisdiction in a talcum powder case prior to staying the proceedings in anticipation of a transfer to the federal multidistrict litigation docket, saying that the plaintiffs had failed to establish how they would be prejudiced by a stay in the matter.
In the April 27 order, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri wrote that the plaintiffs could present their argument for remand before the MDL Court.
