ST. LOUIS –– Plaintiffs asserting talcum powder claims in Missouri state court have filed a motion to continue a July trial setting, contending that they recently discovered that Johnson & Johnson’s talc products contained asbestos, but that the defendants never disclosed that evidence.
In an April 12 response filed in the Missouri Circuit Court for the City of St. Louis, defendant Imerys Talc America Inc. said it did not object to the continuance but took issue with the plaintiffs’ failure to indicate in their motion that the evidence regarding asbestos related to Johnson & Johnson’s product, not to a …
