ST. LOUIS –– The plaintiffs and a defendant involved in a talcum powder lawsuit have exchanged reply briefs, with the plaintiffs supporting their position that their claims belong in state court, and Imerys Talc America maintaining that the claims should be thrown out.

In a Jan. 24 reply brief filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, Imerys Talc America backed its motion to dismiss for lack of personal jurisdiction, saying that the personal jurisdiction analysis is straightforward and that the court should analyze that issue before addressing subject matter jurisdiction.
