Talc MDL Judge Suspends Deadlines for Motions to Dismiss, Says New Deadlines Will Be Discussed at Next Conference

NEWARK, N.J. –– The judge overseeing the national coordinated docket for talcum powder claims has suspended filing deadlines for motions to dismiss, saying that proposed new deadlines and briefing schedules will be discussed with the Court at the time of the next Case Management Conference.

The Dec. 22 order from Hon. Freda L. Wolfson of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey stated that defendants Imerys Talc America Inc. and the Personal Care Products Council had requested the suspension of the deadlines and the Johnson & Johnson defendants and plaintiffs had consented to the request.
