Plaintiffs in Dismissed Talc Cases Receive Extension to File Appellate Brief




ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. –– Plaintiffs who are appealing the dismissal of their talcum powder claims have received a 30-day extension for filing their appellate brief, sources told HarrisMartin, and now have until Jan. 23 to present their written argument to the appellate court.

The Appellate Division of the New Jersey Superior Court had previously asked the plaintiffs to submit their brief and appendix by Dec. 22.

The cases –– one of which was originally scheduled to begin trial on Oct. 11 –– were dismissed on Sept. 2 by the New Jersey Superior Court for Atlantic County, which opined that …
