Talcum Powder MDL Court Appoints Lead Counsel, Steering Committee; Orders Designation of State Court Liaison, Defers Weighing in on Funding Concerns

NEWARK, N.J. –– The court overseeing the federal talcum powder multidistrict litigation docket has issued an order outlining the organization of plaintiffs’ counsel, appointing P. Leigh O’Dell of Beasley, Allen, Crow, Methvin, Portis & Miles, P.C., and Michelle A. Parfitt of Ashcraft & Gerel, LLP, as co-lead counsel in the litigation.

According to a Dec. 6 order issued by the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, Christopher M. Placitella of Cohen, Placitella & Roth, P.C., in Red Bank, N.J., was appointed as plaintiffs’ liaison counsel.
