Missouri Appellate Court Grants Request for Extension in Filing Brief Contesting $72 Million Talcum Powder Verdict

ST. LOUIS –– A Missouri appellate court has granted Johnson & Johnson’s motion for an extension of time in which to file their appellate brief that is expected to contest a $72 million award to a talcum powder plaintiff.
According to the Missouri Eastern District Court of Appeals’ online docket, the defendants now have until Oct. 10 to file their brief.
The Johnson & Johnson defendants filed their notice of appeal on July 7, just a few weeks after the trial court denied their post-trial motions.
