N.J. Court Grants Talc Plaintiffs Leave to File Motion to Compel Hospital to Produce Tissue Blocks

TRENTON, N.J. –– A New Jersey federal court said it will allow a talcum plaintiff to file a motion to compel a hospital to produce tissue blocks in the wake of the hospital’s indication that it would not produce the blocks without a court order.

The U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey granted leave to file the motion to compel in a letter order on Aug. 10.

In a July 27 letter to the court, counsel for the plaintiffs noted that the hospital did indicate that they would comply with a court order.
