ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Defendants in a talcum powder action pending in New Mexico federal court have requested that the proceedings be stayed, citing the pending motion to create a multidistrict litigation docket filed with the U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation.
In a motion filed Aug. 8 with the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico, defendants Johnson & Johnson and Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc. asked the court to stay all proceedings in the action “pending the likely establishment” of a multidistrict litigation docket for federal talcum powder claims.
