MACON, Ga. –– At least nine new talcum powder exposure lawsuits have been filed in federal courts across the country in recent days, with the plaintiffs in each one contending that they developed ovarian cancer as a result of using Baby Powder and Shower-to-Shower.
The complaints were filed Aug. 1-5 in courts in Georgia, Kansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Kentucky and Louisiana.
In their complaint, filed Aug. 4 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, plaintiffs Nancy Crew Hicks and Brannon Rice Hicks Sr. said that Nancy, 53, developed ovarian cancer as a result of using talcum …
